[MEMORY # 24]
* The Black Grandfather's speech; being abandoned by the Griffin flock. (significant negative, shareable)
When, one starry autumn night, all the Griffins began to gather for their journey to the south, Timi curled up in the old nest and pretended to be asleep. The Black Grandfather peered into the nest but Timi kept her eyes shut.
"Griffins," croaked the Black Grandfather, "are brave as lions and watchful as eagles. This creature is a sparrow. We shall have to leave her behind. She will die when the first snow comes." So the Griffins flew away. Their beating wings blotted out the stars, and in the darkness Timi heard the Black Grandfather's croaking whisper, "Listen, Timi! Go down to the village when the snow comes. You will know the village because the Old Palace stands on the slope above it. We shall fly back that way, in the first days of April, when the wind blows from the south. Good-bye!"
Then he too was gone.
+ Well that sucked but it was also kind of her fault and she turned out okay!!
+ A-and another note: Zack's heart . . . jolted Lark into being able to fly early . . . she is still terrified of it but not so terrified she won't do it if she needs to anymore. HILARITY.
