BEGINNING: MOUNTAIN
This is where everyone started from, because it is also how Timi started out both in canon and Aather! Cold, alone and lonely. The pawprints throughout the heart mark paths Timi herself has taken from this starting point! Erasing the prints anywhere had effects.
The mountain was made up of her general fears. The mountain peak housed her fear of flying; this is her greatest issue and she doesn't yet have the right memories to really cope with it, so it was impassable. The downward trail contained her fear of snow and snowstorms, which all participants were required to pass through because she sure did. The forest contained fear of the unknown, and was the least stable part; trying to climb trees/enter the forest/etc. would trigger an avalanche.
Her fears created a manifestation to deal with them, a.k.a. Panic, a.k.a. the invisibeast! It was a guardian figure that appeared whenever people triggered fears too hard. It was extremely new and inexperienced, unable to speak, and didn't know how to get people and fears away from each other without hurting them—a reflection of how Timi refuses to communicate and lashes out blindly when she's afraid. It was made in Aather.
+ Kanji and Shion triggered the avalanche and wiped out the prints between the nest and the cliff. Timi has lost access to her specific memories of living alone; she can remember the general idea, but not details.
+ Zero, Rin and Kite triggered Panic, which was easiest to do here and had no effect on Timi.
+ However, they all fought Panic instead of letting it dump them to safety, so Timi will lash out more violently when she's frightened now.
+ Kite and Rin warmed the rock leading to the peak; Timi will be able to cope a little better with her fear of flight.
+ ...Zero also shot Panic and hurt it; Timi now has a huge fear of Zero, guns, and personal injury.
THE CLIFF
This was where you could pick between going to the Aather half or the Village half of the heart!
Being strong enough to resist the fear and try climbing down the cliff would have brought people to the Aather half, because Timi got eeeased gently into things there. Falling/flying/jumping off the cliff, which everyone did, brought them to the Village half, because Timi blindly blundered her way into things there.
+ No one affected the post-cliff path to Aather because no one got there, but Kanji and Shion's avalanche destroyed a good chunk of the footprints between the Mountain and the Village. Timi's recollection of canon memories that she's earned to date will generally be a little more hazy and unreliable.
AATHER
Aather was compressed and all made up of team homes, because Timi's greatest association is with the people there and not the worldbits. This half of the heart contained her Aather memories.
The footprints on the ground marked the teams Timi knows to go to and rely on on an everyday basis! These are largely the knights' teams and Tiger's Eye's: 'parents' and 'family.' These are also the ones open by default. There were keys to open all the other cabins, but no one got them.
The clarity of footprints on team cabin roofs marked the depths of Timi's relationships with people on that team! The more pronounced the marks are the more she feels like she has friends there. She didn't know anyone on Turquoise, so those were faint, whereas on Tiger's Eye they were burnt right in.
Team keys were all engraved with names, and had environmental effects if touched. No one did this. Tiger's Eye stayed set to 'Lark default.'
The three scraps of paper in the cabinet were Timi's skills. The four memory items in the Snuggie under the bed were not memories: they were her fear of memories. The glass mouse was a cute handy guide figure to point people over to the tree, except first it fled the cabin because OH GOD IT DIDN'T WANT TO GET SMASHED. It was a manifestation of her desire to help!
The door inset into the tree contained Aather-specific fears, likes and dislikes. The room on the left was the Persona Room, the one on the right was the People Room, and the trapdoor, which was not accessed, was the Aather Fear Room. This was all pretty straightforward with written names—Timi is fairly literal about things. Mitchel's name in the People Room was scratched because his murdering thing scared her.
The trapdoor to Aather's Fear Room needed to be opened with what she relied on most in Aather: Tiger's Eye.
The mirror in the yellow cabinet was a portal between the two halves of the heart! It was also the path to True Heart; its two halves were set in what Timi considered her 'homes.' You needed certain keys to access it—if Kite hadn't been playing I would have made a Tiger's Eye key available for the Village half of the heart as well.
+ Kite triggered Timi's fear of memories four times and brought on Panic a second time. Timi will now be four times more reluctant to take her memories and is likely to freak out if pressed about it.
+ Kite also removed the mouse from the fear of memories and woke it up. This will make Timi a little more inclined to help out and stay put in the cabin even when she is upset!
+ Kite and Zero petted the mouse! The mouse came back to help Rin! Plus 10 dere for all three.
+ Panic messed things up, but Rin, Kite and Zero repaired all the damage to the cabin except the broken window, so not much was changed here.
+ Kite melted all the snow around Tiger's Eye: general increase in security and belonging feelings.
VILLAGE
Three parts: Jon Dumpling's House, the Unknown Village, the Castle. This half of the heart contained her canon memories. It was pretty straightforward: place-specific memories and relationship things! Messing around with them, moving them, destroying them, etc. had effects.
Jon Dumpling's house was pretty straightforward! Just memories and relationship things, and the portal to Aather. Moving things in and out of here had an effect. If anyone had gone around the back they would have been able to access the Bakehouse and Garden as well. Both of those contained cool stuff—the Bakehouse had a glass dragon that was counterpart to the glass mouse.
The village she doesn't remember at all except that she shouldn't go there and it's not safe, so it was just a filler interpretation and a lot of hazardous thorns. There were no memories here.
The Castle was made up of the Kitchen, the Courtyard of Ghost Crowds, and the Emperor's Bedroom (not accessed.) Many of the memories here were not viewed.
The Village's Fear Room was located in the Courtyard because Timi remembers being most badly frightened there. Her canon-specific fears were written on the walls. 'Jon Is Dead' and 'The Sky' have been scraped at because she remembered Jon Dumpling was not dead and she's trying to cope with the flying thing. Again, messing with the writing here would have had effects.
The manifestation in that fear room, 'Timi,' was one half of her sense of coping, which was why it was so warm. It had a big surge of power when she got the memory of saying 'no' to the Black Grandfather, the scattered memory of which was the key to the trapdoor and her biggest canon-related moment of strength. That surge was also why it melted the ice all around it and was stuck in a lake: Timi still isn't sure how to properly fold her coping into herself and...whoops...
+ Snake ate all of Timi's food in here (the setting with the fancy cup was Jon's, the milk in the bowl was Timi's.) Her sense of belonging there was lessened a bit.
+ Snake also took Jon's silver chain and left it in the Courtyard, probably. Some loss of association between home = Jon, some gained association between home = castle, which will puzzle her.
+ The memory of saying 'no' to Black Grandfather was brought back together by Snake, which means she'll be able to get her head around the idea of standing up for herself and use it more easily in general.
+ Snake, Shion and Kanji rescued 'Timi' and brought her to Jon's House. Her sense of coping with her fears from home is now tied up in 'well, but I'll always have Jon' rather than in being able to deal on her own in bad places. UN...SURE. But she WILL be be able to deal better either way!
+ Also + 30 dere for Snake, Shion and Kanji.
+ Kite opened the Village --> Aather portal, but not Aather --> Village, which swings the balance slightly towards Timi wanting to stay in Aather rather than going home after she regains her memories.
TRUE HEART
Accessible either from Aather or the Village, once you got the keys! Shion, Kanji and Snake got the Dragon Key, but no one found the Griffin Key.
True Heart is very close to Timi in Aather—but is also her potential underneath the fear! Her true self is pretty brave and copey mccoperson and loves people and knows what she wants. She is kind of a jesus.
The pond, which contains everyone she loves from both her homes, was an image of her True Desire. True Heart is very aware that this desire is impossible, but can live with that. There was a lot that could have been changed in the garden! But. Griffin hugs.
+ Kanji reinforced True Heart's belief in the value of friends and friendship and cuddles a...a lot...
+ Plus 100 dere for Kanji, KANJI WINS ALL THE DERE.
